Upper Control Arm

With the Commuter system, it’s not necessary to purchase the Carli Upper Control Arm. The factory arm DOES limit the travel of the Commuter kit. The Commuter kit is actually capable of about 1" more travel than it's spec'd with BUT, we had to install a short internal spacer in the coilover to limit the travel of the shock and ensure customers were not topping out on the factory ball joint in the upper control arm. The King Shocks we offer include our control arms and achieve this extra 1" down travel. Being more budget and on-road focused, we limited the travel of the Commuters for safe operation with the factory control arm. If a customer decided to purchase the Commuter for it's on-road prowess and elects to purchase the Carli Control Arms, the internal spacer could be removed by the user (or user's selected shock service facility) to achieve the same suspension travel as the Performance Kits.

Extended Brake Line Kit

If one were to purchase the Commuter System and the Carli Upper Control Arm, then removed the internal shock spacer to achieve the full down-travel of which these shocks are capable, this brake line kit would be required as the factory lines will not be sufficient length. These are NOT required for the standard Commuter System.

Description

The Carli-SPEC "Commuter" system is a suspension package for the 2019-2024 Ram 1500 4x4, designed to provide a smooth on-road ride and improved off-road performance. This system is travel-limited to be compatible with the factory upper control arm, but can be upgraded for more significant off-road capability. The rear of the system features a multi-rate coil spring designed for longevity, optimal travel, and a predictable ride. Ditch the factory links in favor of our Adjustable Rear End Links to keep your rear sway bar from binding. They feature aluminum bodies for corrosion resistance, forged and zinc'd bushing housings, durable urethane bushings, stainless steel crush sleeves, and left/right hand threads for easy on-truck height adjustment. The multi-rate coil spring provides a 1/2" of rear lift and is designed for non-Off Road Package trucks without the Ram Box or Multi-Function Tailgate.
