The 2011-2016 Ford 3.5L EcoBoost engine has an inherent design flaw where the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) manifold does not utilize all available cylinder head stud locations, leading to warped exhaust manifolds, broken exhaust studs, and blown manifold gaskets. BD Diesel has engineered this Exhaust Manifold Kit as a superior solution, designing a manifold that not only utilizes all 11 stud locations but also improves exhaust flow and enhances durability. These BD manifolds are made from thicker-walled high-silicon ductile iron to resist thermal warping. They utilize 3 additional exhaust stud locations and include 22 exhaust spacers and 22 class 8.8 studs (15mm longer) designed to further improve thermal durability. The result is an average flow increase of 25.9% over OEM, providing both improved performance and long-term reliability.
