It boils down to the materials used, the build process, and the overall design. Carli Ball Joint still utilizes the same floating King-Pin as your OEM joints, but with several improvements, like a pin and housing, but the “hat” of the pin contacts the housing, which provides a secondary wear surface to better distribute load while also providing the same failsafe as a factory ball joint ensuring the pin cannot be pulled through the bottom of the ball joint housing.
