Being that the OEM front differential cover is soft steel and the lip is vulnerable to even slight impacts on rocks, installing our Differential Guard will give your ring and pinion a solid steel shield should a direct-impact be encountered. Any bump or nudge to your factory differential cover could push the cover into the gears or damage the seal causing a catastophic lubricant loss. Protecting the cover and silicone seal is as critical as the 4-wheel drive option on your Dodge Ram truck.
