The ICON top plate reinforcement kit is designed to address a known durability weakness in the factory front suspension of the Toyota Tacoma. Testing revealed that the OE front upper shock mount and shock stem bushing can fail under hard off-road use. This reinforcement kit is engineered to support and strengthen the factory upper shock mount while also capturing and retaining the shock stem bushing in the event of a failure. It is recommended for Tacoma models that are driven aggressively off-road while retaining the OE front coilover shocks.
