Description

The Morimoto Standalone wiring harnesses are the ideal solution for upgrading headlights on vehicles with sensitive electrical systems, eliminating "bulb out" warnings and flickering common with can-bus systems. These harnesses feature built-in resistor packs and Japanese-made Rubycon capacitors to ensure smooth operation by mimicking halogen bulbs and drawing power directly from the factory headlight circuit. Designed primarily for European vehicles like VW and BMW, these easy-to-install harnesses come as a pair and serve as a substitute for a full relay harness, but are not suitable for vehicles with DRLs on their low beam circuit.

• Sold as a pair: The standalone canbus headlight harnesses come as a pair, one for each side of the car. They are meant to be used as a substitute for a full relay harness, not in addition to one.

Notes

• Euro-Centric: Morimoto clearly developed specifically with the VW and Euro market in mind, these are known to work well on cars like the newer VW MK5 Golfs, Jettas, BMW E46, etc.
• The Standalone wiring harnesses DO NOT however work well on domestic cars/trucks like Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep. You guys need Morimoto's "Mopar Spec" Stuff!
• Sold as a pair: The standalone canbus headlight harnesses come as a pair, one for each side of the car. They are meant to be used as a substitute for a full relay harness, not in addition to one.
• NOTE: Note that these will NOT work with vehicles that have DRL's (Daytime Running Lamps) on their low beam circuit due to the pulsed low voltage current. For vehicles with DRLs on the high beam bulb, no problem.
