2021+ F-150 5.5 ft Bed Tonneau Covers

All about 2021+ F-150 5.5 ft Bed Tonneau Covers

These covers fit the 2021+ F-150 with the 5.5 foot bed, the short bed on SuperCrew trucks. Ford calls it 5.5 feet, and cover makers list it as 5'5", 5'6" or 5'7". They are all the same bed. Brands here are Retrax, TruXedo, Roll-N-Lock and Westin.

How to choose

• Confirm the bed. Measure along the bed rail from the front of the bed to the inside of the tailgate. About 67 inches is the 5.5 foot bed. The 6.5 foot bed needs a different cover.
• Check the years. Some TruXedo covers are listed 2015-2021. On the current truck they are listed for 2021 only, so match your year to the listing.
• Tailgate features. Some TruXedo covers note that they fit with or without the factory tailgate step. If your tailgate has special features, check the notes on the listing.
• Roll-up. TruXedo covers roll toward the cab for full bed access. Lo Pro, Pro X15 and TruXport are soft roll-ups, and Sentry CT is a hard rolling cover.
• Hard retractable. Retrax, Roll-N-Lock and Westin retractables slide into a canister at the front of the bed. The canister takes a little bed length. Retrax Powertrax models open with a switch or remote.
• F-150 Lightning. Only buy a cover whose listing names the Lightning.

FAQ

Why do listings say 5'5", 5'6" or 5'7"?

Cover makers measure the 5.5 foot bed in slightly different ways. All three describe the same F-150 short bed.

Will a 2015-2020 cover fit my 2021+ F-150?

Only if the listing includes your year. Some covers carry over and some do not, so check the year range on each product.

Does a retractable cover take up bed space?

Yes. The canister sits at the front of the bed and uses some length. Roll-up covers do not.

Will a cover fit my 6.5 ft bed?

Not these. This page is the 5.5 foot bed only. The 6.5 foot bed uses a longer cover.
